Located at the foot of Mont Mégantic, ASTROLab is a centre of astronomy activities with a multimedia room and an outdoor observation area. During evenings at ASTROLab, astronomy and the starry sky are featured attractions. The activities described below are offered in French only.

First part
Exoplanètes : en quête de mondes habitables (in French). Are there other planets like Earth in the Universe? It's a millennia old question. We now estimate that there are several billion planets in our galaxy. Our vision of the cosmos has been transformed. But have we truly discovered planets similar to Earth, as the headlines flashing across our screens suggest?

Second part
If the sky is clear: stargazing outside.
If the sky is overcast, presentation (in French) of the latest astronomical news in the multimedia room.
Procedure
The activity can be offered at the beginning of the evening and at the end of the evening. Approximate length: 2 h 30 (add 30 minutes if the sky is clear).
Go to the Observatoire sector welcome centre 15 minutes before the selected departure time. The welcome centre is located 25 minutes from Franceville sector.
